Clara Norell is a visionary innovator & entrepreneur with a vast network all over the globe.  Clara have had a theoretical interest in industrial hemp since 2003. Initially based on her role as a construction engineer and the unique advantages of hemp as a durable insulation material.

Clara holds a Bachelor’s Degree Civil Engineering. Started International Master – Sustainable Urban Management.  +10 years of experience as project manager in private, public, academic collaborative projects in sustainable urban development. 15 years of project management and production in the culture and event industry. Well experienced in work with Agenda 2030 and the Convention on the Children Rights.

Clara is the Founder & CEO of SHI – Swedish Hemp Industries a foodtech & carbon farming startup company operating between & linking agriculture with the food industry. SHI refines and sells B2B high quality, pesticide free EU certified industrial hemp seeds farmed in Sweden.

SHIs residual waste streams becomes biobased dreams. SHI helps food companies expand their protein line while focusing on impact, circular economy, good soil health and carbon sequestration/storage.

Worked practical  with industrial hemp in Sweden since 2019. Fourth year grower of industrial hemp for food and fiber processing. Clara is one of the board of directors on the board of IHFS – Industrial Hemp Association of Sweden and on the Academic Board of Cheeba Africa Cannabis Academy. South Africa. Member of EIHA – European Industrial Hemp Association, Sweden Food Arena, LFM30 and Sustainable Business Hub.

Clara is an expert on hemp and consult on hemp projects in Sweden, USA, South Africa and Germany. Lectures on industrial hemp in Sweden as well as internationally. Part of global network within the hemp industry.
